Local Music Showcase – Multiple Artists!!!
November 9, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Johnny Sheehan
Jonny Sheehan plays a mix of folk, country and blues on acoustic, electric and baritone guitars. With influences including Warren Zevon, Emmylou Harris, the Grateful Dead and Richard Thompson, he also writes songs in a variety of styles.
The Milkhouse Heaters
Ex-Rockers from the Boston music scene, Mike and Jan Sheehy settled in Bellows Falls, VT, where the humble seeds of The Milkhouse Heaters were planted. Weaving tall tales and sad stories of the sometimes comical and tragic human condition, their music has been described as “Emmy Lou Harris/Gram Parsons meets Chrissie Hynde/Joey Ramone. Featuring powerful dual vocals, driving guitar and thumping bass, harmonica, and the occasional kazoo, they describe their sound as “Indie Americana”. They’ve shared stages with Billy Bragg, Fred Eaglesmith, and The Black Crowes, and have been featured on compilation CD’s with G. Love and Jack Johnson, Burning Spear, and others.
Addison Rhys
Addison is a One-Man-Band, playing Appalachian Voodoo & Timeless Folk Songs, blending blues, soul, punk, bluegrass, and folk rock. He offers up hypnotic finger-picking and deeply poignant lyrics, delivered in a voice as nuanced of a summer storm – sometimes softly melancholy, like the first drops of rain, sometimes gritty and loud as thunder, powerful enough to shake the building.
Bar 580 is an “upscale sports bar”. It opens at 11 a.m. each day. It features a full island bar with an extensive selection of craft beers, a pub menu, prepared in their “scratch kitchen”, TVs, pool tables, outdoor seating and recreation area (when the weather is right), and all the best Local Music!
