Local Music Show – Jim Stockwell!!!

Jim is a singer. In fact, he takes a certain amount of pride in his lack of any desire to make his guitar playing a center of attention. Instead, he uses the instrument to provide a sort of ‘canvas’, to which he applies his emotive vocals to ‘paint’ the images he wants to share with his audience. He plays mostly cover tunes, but every now and then, if he’s feeling a little frisky, he may throw in an original. ‘Friskiness’ aside, however, his song choices are often surprising and evocative, always interesting and extremely well-executed.

You may also be familiar with Jim as half of the Pink Floyd tribute act, Midnight Floyd – Eclipsed, with Tom Gutermuth on lead guitar.  They will be performing for the Local Music Showcase next month, stay tuned!
