Local Music Show – ‘Debbie and a Downer’!!!

“Debbie” is Deborahanne Mayer, front-person of the local band, Debbie and the Downers. Ben Mitchell is the particular “Downer” who will be joining Debbie to perform for the Local Music Showcase. The songwriting duo will perform a selection of original songs, traditional country favorites, and even some delightful surprises. Mayer, known for her powerful vocals and deep connection to the traditional material, and local player Mitchell, featured regularly in the WRSI Singer Songwriter Contest, have collaborated for the past decade on the band, headlining venues such as Brattleboro’s “Strolling of the Heifers” and the Topsfield Fair. This show presents an opportunity to hear the intimate kernel at the core of the Downers.
