DESCRIPTION:Two full hours of rollicking good fun\, suh-we-e-e-e-e-e-e-eet harmonies\, and an all around joyous show! Midnight Betty really knows how to light up a room! If you haven’t seen them yet\, you’ve done yourself a grave disservice. (The good news is\, that can be quickly and easily remedied!) Midnight Betty is Chelle Martinez and Oriana Barros. After only about two years’ working together\, they’ve established themselves as real gems in our LOCAL music scene – hitting it hard\, and making beautiful waves! Chelle plays guitar\, and Oriana plays keys\, banjo\, melodica\, and percussion. They both sing\, and their harmonies are – as I believe I may have already ‘hinted’ at – truly exquisite!

SUMMARY:Local Music SHOW - Helen Hummel!!!
DESCRIPTION:Helen Hummel hails from the green mountains of Vermont. Her music reflects the rural landscape of her upbringing and explores the styles of Folk\, Americana\, and Indie\, among many others. Through classic and original songs\, she fills out the limits of her vocal range\, accompanying herself on bright\, uniquely-styled\, and playful guitar. Helen released a full length album in 2017\, Many Waters\, and has played at the historic Bitter End in New York City and the legendary Viper Room in Los Angeles. She currently lives in Western Mass and regularly tours through her home state of Vermont and greater New England. Helen has opened for such artists as Anaïs Mitchell\, Poco\, Red Wanting Blue\, The Salty Suites\, and Chelsea Williams. \n(I chose the image I did\, to promote this show\, because I think it’s safe to say\, we’re all ready to welcome some more beach-appropriate weather back to our region. A sign of things to come!)

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of acoustic(esque) Heaves! \nSinger/Songwriter/Guitarist Daniel Hales\, Bassist James Lowe\, and drummer Brian Canning on cajón will be dishing up delicious confections you eat with your ears\, as they’ve been reliably doing for decades – since erupting from the wilds of Western Massachusetts in 2005. The band’s songbook includes some 100\, very clever original tunes\, and dozens of covers — many of them written or selected for special occasions like movie screenings and tribute nights. \nConsummate performers\, the Heaves have opened for national acts like Cotton Jones\, the High Dials\, and Mean Creek. Notable events and venues where the group has performed include the Green River\, Upper Valley\, and Hilltown music festivals\, the Franklin County Fair\, Iron Horse Music Hall\, and One Longfellow Square in Portland\, Maine. They’ve also served as the house band for Amherst Live.
