DESCRIPTION:Bard Owl: two musicians with crazy different backgrounds trying to make nice with each other and pulling it off: Billie to Elvis to Hoagy to Tosh to Chuck\, all with driving rhythms and sweet harmonies. \nIn 2016\, Annie Landenberger and T. Breeze Verdant merged to make music together with an ever-evolving rich and eclectic playlist spanning rhythmic\, upbeat\, foot-tapping tunes\, mixed among jazz\, ballads\, rocking blues\, sweet and slow tunes —new\, old\, original\, familiar\, unexpected. \nBreeze’s sound\, honed over 50 years\, is driven by complex guitar rhythms matched by his stomp box beats and fully-ranged vocals. Annie adds percussion and her own voice which has been heard widely for decades in a range of styles—folk\, classical\, jazz\, blues—and musical theatre.

DESCRIPTION:Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict – the Local Music Showcase HOLIDAY SHOW\, with MIDNIGHT BETTY has been rescheduled! It is now: \nFriday Night\, 12/20\, starting at 7pm!!!\nNot a ‘school night’! (Tell mom you’re gonna) Stay out late! Who-o-o-o-op it up!!! \n(Bar 580 will not be open to the public on Tuesday\, 12/17\, so they can have their own Holiday Staff Party.) \nThis is going to be TRULY special event! Two-or-more full hours of rollicking good HOLIDAY-related fun\, suh-we-e-e-e-e-e-e-eet harmonies\, and an all around Joy-to-the-World kind of show! If you’ve seen them before\, you know: Midnight Betty really knows how to light up a room! If you haven’t\, you need to get out more… And with Christmas only a few days away\, this is exactly what could cure any residual Scrooge-y- or Grinch-y-ness that may be lingering in your system. \nFor this show only\, they’ll be serving up a mix of holiday tunes\, amidst their more ‘usual’\, clever\, witty\, fun\, and always beautifully rendered songs. There may even be special appearances\, by other musical-types\, who spin in and around the orbit of this highly-talented duo! DON’T miss it!!! It’s a TUESDAY night – what-on-earth else do you have going on?!?!? \nMidnight Betty is Chelle Murrey (half of “Chelle and Paul”) and Oriana Barros (half of “Hazelnuts”). They’re fairly new to the Brattleboro music scene\, having been playing together for a little more than a year\, but they’re hitting it hard\, and making beautiful waves! Chelle plays guitar\, and Oriana plays keys\, banjo\, melodica\, and the occasional tin can (with chopstick). They both sing\, and their harmonies are – as I believe I may have already ‘hinted’ at – truly exquisite!
