DESCRIPTION:B.E. Farrow is another recent transplant to Brattleboro\, VT\, and another fine addition to our musical landscape. He is a multi-instrumentalist musician\, educator\, songwriter\, and independent researcher who has a focus in reshaping and reflecting Americans’ musical history through sharing stories\, creative expression through popular/historic musical structures\, and inclusive dialog. \nPaul Martinez… Well\, if you’ve been following the local music scene at all\, you know who Paul is\, and what he can do with a guitar – even if you don’t fully understand HOW he does it. Hearing and watching him play is always a treat. \nDonald McCullough\, the guy who runs the show\, is going to play a few tunes. \nAnd if you get there early\, there’s going to be a short\, ‘teaser’ appearance by another one of our favorite local acts. \nThe ad is going up late… As is so very often the case\, the show is going to be a blast!

DESCRIPTION:Luminous Crush\nThe high energy duo of Laura Molinelli and Ben Campbell performed in a showcase for us back in September\, and they brought the house down! Playing acoustic instruments and delivering spectacular vocal harmonies into a single\, large condenser microphone\, they present original bluegrass\, outlaw country\, psychedelic fusion\, dream pop\, indie rock\, and whatnot. \nFounded in 2015\, with deep roots in alt rock and bedroom pop as well\, as traditional bluegrass and Americana\, there’s absolutely something for everybody in their unique and original sound. \nThe show starts at 6pm. There’s never a cover charge.

DESCRIPTION:Emily Margaret \n16 year old Emily has been writing songs since she was 9 years old. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Amy Whinehouse\, Erykah Badu\, and Hiatus Kaiyote\, her vocals land with a soulful\, ominous\, R-n-B sound\, that she poetically mixes with her own heartfelt\, emotional lyrics. She’s been writing up a storm lately and can’t wait to share her recent works with you! Emily will be performing her set with a full band\, comprised of of other young and talented performers. \nLaura Lockie \nLaura Lockie recently moved to Brattleboro from Atlanta\, Georgia where she regularly played jams\, open mics\, and occasional gigs with other musicians\, and as a solo artist. She has recorded a CD of mostly original material with guitarist Charles King\, and has appeared in film and television as a background actor and singer. Her set includes a mix of covers from different eras and genres\, and original material in the American singer/songwriter tradition. \nDonald McCullough \nAs always\, your  host\, and if need be\, or the mood strikes\, he’ll hack out a few tunes – some originals\, some covers – on his guitar.

It’s cold outside. Everybody’s going a little stir-crazy with a combination of gluttonous consumption of holiday delectables\, sugar\, and alcohol\, vacation-related inactivity\, and the impending dread of having to return to work and ‘normal’ life in the encroaching future. What’re you gonna do?! \nWe have a remedy! A universal remedy… \nAn Evening of Great Music and Good Friends.\nDylan Patrick Ward\n“He’s funny. He’s also as serious as an ax handle.” – Peter Mulvey \nDylan Patrick Ward is a folk misfit from Vermont’s dirty south. Equal parts compassionate and irreverent\, his songs delve into the minds and lives of oddballs\, outcasts\, misfits and people on the brink. \nHe has a sharp sense of humor and an instinctive sympathy for the underdog\, and has been compared to great musical humorists like John Prine and Randy Newman\, as well as indie-rock/antifolk legends like the Mountain Goats and Paul Baribeau. \nSince arriving on the scene in 2021\, he’s become increasingly respected as a writer and performer\, and has shared the stage with beloved acts like Bill Callahan\, Peter Mulvey\, Jeffrey Lewis\, Guy Davis\, Michael Schneewais and others. \nIan Galipeau\nIan Galipeau is an indie-rock songwriter for hopeful cynics. He dwells in his craft to an obsessive degree\, weaving empathetic storytelling and careful wordplay into thought-provoking\, nuanced songs. His lyrics are where his obsession lies – he is not an artist who can just write a simple love song\, or a breakup song. He’s compelled (for better or worse) to use songs to explore something out-of-the-ordinary. Sometimes it’s a meditation on writers block\, or the nostalgia of parenthood\, or the perspective of a Ray Bradbury character… but there’s always some fragment of the unexpected. Musically he leans toward indie-rock\, drawing comparisons to Hozier and Ben Harper. Through the course of a set\, you’ll also hear strands of retro-pop and Americana that will keep you on your toes. \nIan is based in Keene\, NH. He’s been performing around New England since 2010\, and has shared the stage with the likes of Arc Iris\, Dietrich Strauss\, and Ian Fitzgerald. His discography includes two sister-EPs\, titled Raze/Raise\, released in March of 2018\, followed by a full-length album\, titled\,  Like We Were Never Here At All\, in September of 2022. This year has seen the release of 3 singles\, plus a 3-song EP in October\, born out of a ‘song-a-day’ writing challenge that Ian embarked on during the month of September. \nTickets\nTickets are $15 per person\, general admission.
